To raise awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Fund we turned the children who are supported by the fund into real life superheroes, because each is fighting their own villain. To make this transformation we created sixty-second films showing the heroic child fighting a monster with superpowers based on their illness. Turning their weakness into strength. Each superhero became an action figure which were given out as Happy Meal Toys in McDonald’s restaurants in the Netherlands.

Each kid had their own superhero figure

Animators developed, together with the children and inspired by their imagination, the superpowers they would use to defeat the monster (their disease).
